- m/v Hondius is an amazing, capable, safe and comfortable expedition ship with great amenities. This is an expedition ship, not a cruise ship. However it is new, fast and one of the greenest ships visiting the polar regions with multiple technologies to minimize emissions and increase fuel efficiency. - This is the Arctic trip of a lifetime.
- Ivory Gull, Polar Bear, Beluga Whale, huge colonies of Thick-billed Murre, Dovekie and Black-legged Kittiwake, Walrus and the possibility of Bowhead Whale. In addition we can find various Arctic Seals, Barnacle Goose, Pink-footed Goose, jaegers, loons, eiders. This is a tour of a true Arctic wilderness. Glaucous Gulls, and Great Skuas live here, and we will see colonies of Northern Fulmars. Certainly the stars of the show are Ivory Gull, Polar Bear and the Walrus. In 2024 we were able to find Blue Whales, as well as two Ross's Gulls that flew by. We would be lucky to find the Ross's Gulls on our next trip, but it could happen. Did we mention we see puffins!
- Gorgeous scenery, glaciers, icebergs, and the pack ice.
