Antarctica, Falklands and South Georgia
2025
- 22 Oct - 11 Nov, 2025 - Starting in Puerto Madryn, and ending in Ushuaia.
- Visiting the Falkland Islands, the wildlife spectacle and scenic beauty of South Georgia, and the Antarctic Peninsula.
- Download the trip itinerary and cabin descriptions HERE.
- Cabins begin at $14350 (quadruple), twin cabins begin at $17600 per person. Larger suites also available.
- On the m/v Ortelius from Oceanwide Expeditions - A recently renovated 1A Ice Class (highest ice class notation) 298 foot ship that takes only 108 passengers. This ship is tried and tested, a classic expedition ship that is also comfortable, and handles the seas well. Download the ship brochure, or the ship Deck Plan.
- Note that with a ship only holding 108 clients, we can spend more time on shore, given that regulations limit the number of people on shore, and larger ships need to take multiple turns to have clients on land or on zodiacs.
- We have the possibility of seeing 8 species of penguins: King, Emperor, Magellanic, Rockhopper, Macaroni, Chinstrap, Adelie and Gentoo.
- Early season trip to maximize our chances of seeing Emperor Penguin, and Antarctic Petrel.
- Whales, huge penguin colonies, albatross at the nest, dolphins and whales, masses of fur seals, Elephant Seals, and the gorgeous mountains and ice of South Georgia and the Antarctic. This trip is absolutely fabulous, spellbinding!!
- Pre tour birding in Puerto Madryn, and post tour birding in Ushuaia will be available. Itineraries are being priced.
- e-mail us to ask us any question about this trip.
- Multiple cabin types available. Quadruples, triples, twin with porthole, twin with large windows, superior rooms and suites.
- Led by Alvaro Jaramillo, author of Birds of Chile, and Patagonian Bird expert Ricardo Matus (if we have a larger group). Both fun, personable and easy going in their style. Great teachers, great birders.
